It's a Sundays-only pop-up at The NoMad Bar. We love classic red-sauce Italian. We eat it, most Sundays--together--at big tables with lots of wine and lots of laughs. This is our tribute to the classic Italian-American joints of NYC that a whole lot of us remember from back in the day. Dinner is $74. It includes a whole bunch of antipasti for the table; a choice of chicken parm, marsala, or piccata; pasta, and dessert. Our full wine lists, some fun house wines, and cocktails are inspired by "those" drinks from the early 1980s are also available (in addition to the menu cost.)
Short answer: Some. We'll always do our best to accommodate preferences and restrictions but this is a meaty, garlicky, tomato sauce-based menu. You know best if this is for you.
We have limited room for walk-ins. We take reservations for both the dining room and a portion of the bar seats. Just next door, at The Elephant Bar, we'll be serving the regular Nomad menu.
We plan on running the restaurant through 2017. 2017, can you believe it?? It's like the future or somethin'!
6 is the largest group we can accommodate at this time.
Email us! MammaG@thenomadhotel.com. Please, the phone numbers you may find when looking up "The NoMad" are for the hotel and normal restaurant...Please, just email us so we can make sure the Mamma's team is able to get back in touch with you. We promise, we'll reach out ASAP. A little mini FAQ: The tables we show available online are what we have. We can't increase parties of 2 to 3 or 4 to 5 due to the space of the dining room. Reservations are final sale, which can be transferred through the website, but we can't offer refunds--kinda like a concert. Please be sure of the date and time before you click "purchase." Again, email us if you need somethin'!
GRATUITY IS NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR TICKET PRICE, OR FOR ANY BEVERAGES YOU ORDER THAT EVENING.

Mamma Guidara’s is a Sundays-only celebration hosted in the NoMad Bar and pays tribute to the beloved classic Italian-American “red sauce” joints in NYC during the 1980’s. Named after owner Will Guidara’s mother and a nod to Mamma Leone’s that used to reside in Theater District, Mamma Guidara’s offers a four course prix-fixe menu of traditional family-style Italian bistro fare.
